Giorgi Shalutashvili – Professor of the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film State University, Rector, Doctor of Arts.
Born in Tbilisi, September the 1st, 1965;
In 1987 he graduated from the Rustaveli State Theatre Institute (group of Dimitri Aleksidze, Temur Chkheidze);
1989-1992 he was the artistic director of of Meskheti State Drama Theatre;
From 1992 has been teaching at the Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University, as a mentor teacher released five groups of actors;
From 2000 he works as a documentary film director, has directed more than twenty documentaries;
2006 was one of the founders of the National Dramaturgy Festival in Akhaltsikhe;
During 2008-2009 was the Chief Director of the Akhmeteli State Drama Theatre;
2009-2014 is acting department leader;
He has directed about 50 performances and more than 20 films.

2005 - Venice International Film Festival - "Tushetian Celebrations";

2007 - Batumi International Film Festival, the prize "Saint Andrew's Cross" for the best TV film - In the footsteps of Great Andrew";
2008 - Batumi International Film Festival, the Special Jury Prize "Saint Andrew's Cross" for the film ”Visiting the Patriarch;
2012 - International Student Theatre Festival, in the top ten student performances “Our Town”, London Cultural Olympiad and Sheffield (UK);
2014 - G.Eristavi Festival of Comedy, Grand Prix for the play "I Want to Become a Princess".
