
CONNECT: Connecting universities-industry through smart entrepreneurial cooperation and
competitive intelligence of students in Moldova, Georgia and Armenia
Management meeting in Riga
CONNECT management meeting was held on July 16-21, 2023 in Riga, Latvia. It was hosted
by RISEBA University of Applied Sciences.
TAFU representatives, Nato Gengiuri, the Head of the CONNECT management team, and Nana
Letsveridze, the Project Coordinator, took part in the meetings.
They presented a report to the EU partners and team members.
The visit was fruitful as the management team members and partners shared experiences and
planned the next steps for the successful implementation of the project.
Startup competition
The final event of the 2023 spring semester within CONNECT
On May 3, 2023, the certificate award ceremony and the 2nd startup competition were held at Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University. The certificates were awarded to the students who participated in the international training and successfully completed three courses: Psychotechnique and Art skills, Business Pre-acceleration Course - From idea to commercialization of your product or service, Digital Skills Development Course.
The mentioned courses were carried out from March 13 to May 2, 2023, within the ERASMUS+ project.
The ceremony was attended by the Rector George Shalutashvili, the Head of Administration Giorgi Kharebava and project management team members Nato Gengiuri and Nana Letsveridze. They congratulated the students on the successful completion of the courses.
The event ended with a startup competition. Students presented new business ideas (trainer: Assoc. Prof. Dodo Chumburidze).
The startup competition winners were revealed by a special jury. Two students Ana Tskhvedadze, a student of Iv. Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University and Mikheil Ramishvili, a student of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University were awarded the certificates.

CONNECT Management Meeting Armenia
In the period 07-13.11.2021, a meeting of the consortium members took place within the framework of the project „Connecting universities-industry through smart entrepreneurial cooperation and competitive intelligence of students in Moldova, Georgia and Armenia (CONNECT)”, co-funded by the EU under the Erasmus+ program. The event was organized by Brusov State University in Yerevan, Armenia.

During April 4-9, 2022 teachers of Shota Rustaveli Theatre and Film Georgia State University – associate professor Dodo Chumburidze, assistant professor Tamta Turmanidze and assistant Ketevan Ochkhikidze were invited to Erasmus + project Connect (“Connecting Universities Industry Through Smart Entrepreneurial Cooperation and Competitive Intelligence of Students in Moldova, Georgia and Armenia”), which was held in Sofia, Republic of Bulgaria. They participated in the international training “Entrepreneurial Ecosystems”, implemented by Anthology Management.
During the study visit they participated in several trainings, master classes and workshop in terms of management and investment opportunities. Furthermore, participants participated in several discussions about the topic of the project and attended presentations of start-ups.
With the initiative of the inviting side, they got acquainted with various institutions in Bulgaria about managing and developing of the start-up projects and shared their experience in these fields. They visited CoWorking Spaces and had introductory visits at the University of Economics and at the University of Sofia, where they shared experience in the production of cultural tourism too.
During the visit, our teachers were actively involved in the activities of StartUp Acceleration at all stages and for each participant, certificate of successful completion of the module was awarded.
